Site Map: Here is a map of Lake Fairfax Campgrounds - We will camp at small group camp sites 76, 77, 78. Here are google driving directions from the Park Entrance. This will get you to our campground section - look for our Pack 950 Sign. There will be a skate park on your left and an RV Campsite straight ahead. You will turn left and curve around the skatepark then head downhill into the small group campsite area, we will be in the very back of the site.
Water: Please remember to bring your own reusable water bottle. We will have large jugs to refill your bottles instead of the individually packaged plastic water bottles!
Dinner: The Pack will be providing the main dish and families will fill out the remainder of the Potluck. Please sign up using the RSVP Link above when live.
Parking and Uploading: When you arrive you can drive directly to our group campsites to unload. There are a fair number of spaces available, please only park in spaces associated with our 3 campsites - please squeeze in as many vehicles as you can.
To Tent, or Not to Tent: We have plenty of space and love seeing all those tents around the site.
In Cub Scouts, we have Family Campouts, which means families tent together.
It also means the entire family is welcome and encouraged to attend and participate (parents, siblings, grandparents, etc).
For those that are unable to stay overnight or think sleeping on the ground is silly that is ok! Come when you can. Stay as long as you can. If you have to arrive late because of another conflict please let your den leader know.
Packing List: I have linked a suggested packing list. This is a generic list, adjust the list to your particular needs and keep a close eye on the weather. Unlike "big" scouts in the Troop - if the weather calls for Thunderstorms or heavy rain we will adjust our plans accordingly.
Medical Forms: Anyone staying overnight needs to have a completed Medical Form - sections A & B.
These do not need a doctor's signature (That is only for Form C if you overnight for 3+ nights).
We do need paper copies of the form, which we collect when you arrive. If you don't have access to a printer you can email Geoff your forms he will print and bring it (gdelizzio@gmail.com). We will also have blank copies at our April Pack Meeting.
For short term events like our campouts - you do not need to include height and weight for Forms A&B! (Yeah!!)
If you are staying for the day on Saturday and not sleeping over you are not required to have a form.
